Our Work
The day-to-day impact of the Keith County Foundation Fund is driven by dedicated volunteers. Our Fund Advisory Committee (FAC) is the heart of what we do. As they gift their time, talent, and treasure, they seek to create a leadership group that is diverse in thought and experience, benefitting the future of our community. Together we:
-
Envision continual growth and prosperity for our future
-
Create positive change that otherwise may not occur
-
Seek to create a diverse leadership group
-
Invite contributions of time, talent, and treasure from all people
-
Build and leverage local assets
-
Advance our mission through effective communications
-
With the guidance of Nebraska Community Foundation, KCFF adheres
to the guidelines for a 501(c)(3) nonprofit for our grantmaking and events

Four Areas of Focus
In 2020, the Keith County Foundation held community conversations to hear from all of you what was important to fuel prosperity in our area. The results pointed to four areas, and we have partnered with other organizations to make these efforts part of the favric of Keith County.
Early Childhood Development
... the benefits of early childhood development: children will be better prepared for life; parents are likely to be better parents; those parents are likely to be even more productive employees; and early childhood development will help employers attract more talent to join their companies.

First Impressions
From flowers to murals to signage, Keith County has transformed how we greet visitors and residents alike. Most recently, KCFF has provided support that led to an installation of sculptures and the Western Trails Creative Arts District.

Housing
A powerful local partnership has led to incredible results on the home front. By developing a fund that encourages both multi- and single-family housing, Keith County has seen growth generated by our own giving.
Entrepreneurship
Keith County participated in E3, a Nebraska-based program designed to offer resources to communities that desire to grow an ecosystem that supports people turning ideas into successful businesses.
