2025 Scholarship Recipients

Scholarships for Keith County Students

The scholarships listed below are administered by the Keith County Foundation Fund, an affiliate of the Nebraska Community Foundation. We are grateful to the Berryman and Hermance families for investing in the educational opportunities for the youth in Keith County.

The scholarships are thoughtfully stewarded, and the fund’s annual proceeds are distributed each year with the donor’s intent in mind.

Berryman Scholarship

The Berryman Education Account was bequeathed to KCFF from the estate of Charles Wilton “Bud” Berryman in 2012. It provides scholarships for Keith County residents pursuing post-secondary education. Scholarship funds must be used to pursue a continuing education course, a degree, or a certificate program at a publicly accredited community college or an accredited degree-granting college or university.

Applications for the 2026 Berryman Scholarship will be accepted in the spring of 2026.

To be eligible for the scholarship, the student must be a Keith County resident

  • pursuing a post-secondary education following a break in education,

  • a current college/university student,

  • or a traditional student continuing directly from high school to post-secondary education.

* Preference is given to a non-traditional student pursuing a post-secondary education

Selection will be based on a personal statement, leadership, service, academics, education goals, and receipt of an official high school, GED or college academic transcript.

Completed applications and Official Transcripts are required for consideration.

The packet must be received via email or postmarked by June 1, 2026.
